Omaha’s Joslyn Art Museum is an internationally recognized Museum with a world-class collection of art spanning 5,000 years and the world’s diverse cultures. This cultural gem was founded in 1931 by Sarah Joslyn in memory of her husband George, a prominent business leader. The original Art Deco building, designed by the father-son team John and Alan McDonald, is wrapped in stunning Georgia Pink marble, as is the 1994 Scott Pavilion addition by British architect Norman Foster. The Joslyn’s most recent addition, the 2024 Hawks Pavilion, was designed by international architectural practice Snøhetta. Visitors can explore art in over thirty galleries and outdoors in the sculpture gardens.
